Mohamed Amersi was invited to contribute a chapter to the Dubai Expo2020 book. The World Expo is an international exhibition, launched in 1851 in Crystal Palace Hyde PArk. Since 2000, the Expo is hosted every 5 years in a different location and lasts 6 months.
On July 22nd, on behalf of the Commonwealth Institute, Mohamed Amersi hosted a conversation with Rt Hon Gordon Brown, UN Special Envoy for Global Education and former Prime Minister of the UK, and HE John Kufuor, former President of Ghana. The conversation was centred around a global right to education.
The British Academy hosted a three-day virtual Purpose Summit, as part of The Future of the Corporation programme. The programme brings to the fore a new definition of the purpose of business – “to profitably solve the problems of people and planet, and not profit from creating problems”.
On Wednesday June 17th, Mohamed Amersi joined the virtual global final of Map the System 2020, hosted by Peter Tufano, dean of the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and Peter Drobac, Director of the Skoll Centre.
As a board member of the Oxford Foundry (OXFO), the entrepreneurship center at Oxford University, Mohamed was invited to join the judging panels for the Covid-19 Rapid Solutions Builder. Mohamed chaired the Healthcare Panel.
