The Amersi Foundation collaborates with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society to support those in need in Yemen.
This September, the Amersi Foundation collaborated with the Internava project, a non-political music organisation supporting Iranian musicians and composers, and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society to support those in need in Yemen.
The artistic collaboration fundraised the charity single ‘I wish I was here for you’, designed to share the story of the current pain and suffering being experienced in Yemen, heightened with the toll of Covid-19. With Yemeni people already already suffering from conflict, food insecurity and a weakened health system, Yemen has also suffered from a high rate of death from the first wave of COVID-19.
The funds raised are dedicated to the 7,500 pregnant women and children in need of emergency care, for the new Emergency Health Centre Obstetrics in Haijah, Northern Yemen.
