Biannual Gathering for The Insitute D’Etudes Politiques

On Friday December 9th 2019, The Amersi Foundation hosted a three-day event at the British Academy for The Insitute D’Etudes Politiques (IEP), a Liechtenstein-based Think Tank covering the progress and development of political science, economics, and sociology.

The event was chaired by Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein. A carefully curated event where the speakers and topics chosen covered a breadth of emerging areas. Speakers included David Runciman, Cambridge University, Head of the Department of Politics and International Studies, The Rt Hon Gordon Brown United Nations Special Envoy for Global Education and former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Professor Chas Bountra, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Innovation, University of Oxford, Professor Karthik Ramanna, Director of the Oxford MPP, Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild, Coalition for Inclusive Capitalism and Peter Drobac, Director of Skoll at Oxford University.

The topics of discussion ranged from “The Future of Democracy, Healthcare Innovation, Education, Inclusive Capitalism and measuring Impact.

The three-day programme included a Catholic mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Central London and an opportunity for guests to join guided tours of Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace.The gathering is part of an intimate biannual convening to discuss geo-political affairs and trends.
